Registration of Cosmetic and Personal Care Products
State registration of cosmetic and perfumery products is a procedure for confirming their safety and quality, following which the products are entered into the State Register and authorized for sale within the territory of Kazakhstan.
In accordance with Technical Regulation of the Customs Union TR CU 009/2011 On the Safety of Cosmetic and Perfumery Products and the sanitary regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, state registration is required only for a limited range of cosmetic products that may potentially affect human health.
Consequences of Non-Compliance:
Violating the prohibition on the sale of unregistered products may result in administrative liability, including fines and even suspension of business activities.
If the violation results in harm to health, the penalties are more severe. Such liability is also provided for under the Code of Administrative Offenses, but in a stricter form.
